Curriculum Vitae – Prof. Dr. Sjoerd Harder

Sjoerd Harder, born in the Netherlands, obtained his Ph.D. degree in experimental organolithium chemistry under the supervision of Lambert Brandsma (1990, Utrecht) for which he was awarded the H.J. Backer prize in organic chemistry (Royal Dutch Chemistry Association – KNCV). After post-doctoral stays with Paul von R. Schleyer (Erlangen), Andrew Streitwieser (Berkeley) and Hans Brintzinger (Konstanz), he did his Habilitation in Inorganic and Organometallic Chemistry and started an academic research career.
